A TWO DAY HARDWARE & SOFTWARE COURSE FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS, ASSISTANTS, & DIGITAL TECHNICIANS.

This course is 50% Capture One and 50% Medium format camera systems. The curriculum is based on professional digital tech workflow. Developed for working digital techs and assistants who are well versed in digital workflow. Photographers with high production workflow and strong digital knowledge will benefit as well.

THE PHASE ONE CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM:

The POCP is a two-day course and will be run at HotCold Studio in Dubai UAE. Staff from Phase One’s technical support department run the course with help from us at HotCold, and between us, we supply all of the cameras and lenses needed for the course. All we ask is that you bring along your own laptop* and tablet.

* Capture One Pro 22 or Phase One DB Version must be installed on your laptop.

Simply attending the course is not sufficient to gain certification. To pass the course and become a Phase One Certified Professional you must complete the required coursework at the ProProf’s website with a minimum 80% pass mark. The coursework comprises of a number of online modules which take you through the every-day use of Capture One Pro and ensures that by the time you attend the POCP event you have a good intermediate working knowledge of the software. To help in this endeavour, at the end of each module there is a quick quiz that can be retaken until you achieve the expected pass mark. This ensures that those who attend the POCP course are then in a position to learn the advanced techniques that Phase One require to ensure that you are of a level to become a Phase One Certified Professional. Each day is made up on average of 50% theory and 50% practical work.

The FINAL POCP test is now completed online, in the candidates own time, rather than at the end of the course (as on previous POCP courses at HotCold). This has been done to make more time available in class to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part in the practical elements of the second day, as well as ask any questions before the course finishes. This has also allowed Phase One to put facilities in place to the online test to help anyone with special requirements. The test requires a minimum 80% pass mark in order to receive official POCP accreditation.

Those that succeed and pass the course are able to call themselves a Phase One Certified Professional and will be listed at www.phaseone.com. Each participant will also receive a free subscription to the ProProf’s training program.

Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of 15 on each course to ensure a good learning environment and time for one-on-one questions and answers.
